General overview to the choices you will need to consider: Size options offer you a selection from crib, lap quilts, play quilts, picnic quilts, wheelchair quilts up to twin extra long sized quilts. (At this time we are not offering larger quilt sizes). Quilt Pattern is where you choose the main pattern of the center top of your quilt. This center can be filled with photos printed on cotton fabric for a memory quilt. Currently I offer Traditional Patterns and Modern versions of Traditional Patterns. There are many types of Quilt Pattern Styles like Traditional, Modern & Applique styles. Quilt Border is optional. You have the option of no borders, one (1) border or two (2) borders. Borders frame the center of the top. Please note that all quilts have a binding around the edges of the quilt which encloses the quilts raw fabric edges included in your Custom Quilt Order. Quilting Design is where you choose the Quilting Design that is use to hold the layers of your quilt together. You have the option of the 100% cotton yarn tied in a grid, a simple machine Quilting Design or a Complex Quilting Design. The purpose of the Quilting or Yarn Ties is to hold the center batting layer in place so that it doesn’t shift and bunch up when in use or when laundered. One of the simplest methods is tying the layers together with yarns in a grid every 6 to 12 inches. I freehand machine quilt simple airy designs with negative space on up to the more intricate dense designs. It is important to note that the less dense the Quilting Design the softer the feel of the quilt as compared to a more dense Quilting Design gives a stiffer less flexible feel to the quilt. Quilt Color Theme is where you select a set of colors to be used in your quilt. Quilt Backing is typically a neutral color and subtle design to coordinate with the top of the quilt and can also be used to make the binding that encloses the quilts raw fabric edges. This binding can be made from the same fabric as the Quilt Backing or can also be made from one or more of the fabrics in the quilt top. *Because this is your special order quilt there are no refunds possible.
